Emma Duggleby (GB&I) lost to Paula Creamer
(USA) by 3 and 2.
Creamer drew first blood with a winning par 4
at the second and Duggleby also bogeyed the fifth
to go down. Duggleby got the first birdie of the
match - a 2 from 4ft at the short fifth - to cut
the American's lead to one hole. Duggleby
had her fourth bogey of the outward half to lose
the ninth and be two down at the turn, which she
reached in 40 to her opponent's 38.
The first five holes of the inward
half were halved as Creamer held at bay her opponent's
attempts to make inroads on her two-hole deficit.
Creamer broke the stalemate with a birdie 3 at
the 15th to go dormie three up. A half in par-3s
at the 16th gave Creamer a 3 and 2 victory. The
American was level par for the holes played.
MATCH TWO
Anne Laing (GB&I) beat Jane Park (USA) by
3 and 1.
Park drove right of the trees at the first and
eventually conceded the hole to Laing who was

bogeyed the second. Laing holed a 6ft putt
to match Park's birdie 4 at the long third and
then birdied the fourth from 4ft to go three up.
Park won the seventh with a par 4 to get back
to one down. The eighth was halved in birdie 4s
and Laing reached the turn in two-under 35.
The first four holes after the

third hole and two-putted for a winning birdie
4 to square the match. Janangelo three-putted
for a second time to lose the seventh. The American
conceded the ninth to McKevitt, who was out in
38 and two up.
The short 10th was halved in bogey
4s and the 11th in par 4s. McKevitt badly pulled
her tee shot and eventually conceded the 12th
to be only one up with six to play. McKevitt
bogeyed the 13th to be pulled back to square for
the first time since the sixth but after halving
the 14th and 15th, the GB&I player pulled
her tee shot at the short 16th and went one down
to a par from Janangelo.
A half in par-5s at the 17th left
the American one up with one to play. Janangelo's
par 4 to halve the last gave her a one-hole win
and the United States nine points - a total which
ensured that, as holders, they retained the Curtis
Cup.
MATCH FOUR

(USA) by 6 and 5.
Timmins bogeyed the first to go one down immediately

three but Wie produced her third birdie in five
holes at the ninth to be out in 34 and four up.
Timmins got up and down from a bunker to halve
the short 10th but Wie hit her approach to within
2ft of the stick for a tap-in birdie at the 11th
and a five-hole lead. Timmins went six down at
the 12th where she hit the stick with a chip but
could not hole the subsequent putt to match Wie's
solid par-4.
