MEN EDGE WIN OVER LGU SQUAD AT ST ANDREWS NEW
COURSE
Stirling
University's men's golf team beat a Ladies Golf
Union winter training squad 2 1/2-1 1/2 in a
friendly match over the St Andrews New Course
today.
Mary McKenna, who will skipper the Great Britain
& Ireland team in the Curtis Cup match against
the United States over the Old Course at the
end of next May, said: "It was a great
match, very good practice over the New course
which is in great condition. It was very cold
with some rain at the end but most enjoyable."
