Timmins and Masters make it 2-0 for GB&I
Nicola Timmins & Danielle Masters beat Sarah Huarte & Annie Thurman by one hole.
There were bogeys galore over the opening holes with GB&I winning the second with a par and the United States taking the fourth and fifth with par figures.
Huarte and Thurman conceded the seventh to lose their lead and went one down again with a bogey at the eighth.
It was Timmins and Masters' turn to concede a hole at the ninth, which left the sides all square at the turn. Timmins and Masters double-bogeyed the 12th to lose it to a bogey by the Americans.
The United States were pulled back to all square at the 13th where Timmins and Huarte produced the first birdie of the match. Timmins hit her approach to within 4ft of the hole and Masters holed the birdie putt. GB&I went one up for a third time with a par at the 15th.
The 16th and 17th were halved in pars, leaving GB&I one up with one to play. A half at the last gave Timmins and Masters a one-hole win to extend the overall GB&I lead to 2-0.
The GB&I pair were four or five over par at the finish.
