Played in Curtis Cup matches of 2000 and 2002 (won 4 and halved one in eight ties). Member of winning Vagliano Trophy team last summer which she rates her most memorable golfing experience to date even though she has won the 1994 British women's open amateur title (beaten finalist 2000 & 2001), the European individual title (2000), the South African open match-play championship (2002), the English amateur championship twice (2000 & 2003) and the English Order of Merit (2003). Won Helen Holm Scottish open amateur stroke-play championship at Troon with record low aggregate of 14 under-par 211 and the international team event for England in partnership with Shelley McKevitt in April.

England team member since 1994 and Vagliano Trophy player in 1995, 2001 and 2003.

Started golfing at the age of 11 as her parents played. Two holes in one to her credit and a 66 ('British' first qualifying round at Ladybank, 2001) is her lowest score.

Won BBC Sports Award Regional Female Achiever Award in 2003.

Emma, who works as assistant secretary at her golf club and also in its pro shop, is a season ticket holder at Leeds United Football Club.

In January this year, she finished runner-up in the South Atlantic Ladies amateur tournament, the week after finishing ninth in the Harden Hall Invitational, both events in Florida.

Always wears a gold locket when golfing. Likes playing netball, going to the gym, cinema, socialising and watching Leeds United.
